A raw egg in the freezer overnight – in the morning a beautiful breakfast for 5 people

On Fridays we always get together with our friends and have a tea party. One day we started talking about dishes made from nothing. Like, a woman will always come up with something to make a hat, a scandal and breakfast out of. And then I remembered one wonderful recipe. You just need to freeze the egg. One egg and 4-5 people are fed.

"French Breakfast"

Actually I don't know if the dish is French. But it was under this name that I first came across this interesting recipe.

To prepare a beautiful breakfast, do the following:

  1. Freeze a raw chicken egg (you can use several at once). To ensure the egg freezes, place it in the freezer in the evening.
  2. In the morning, pour hot water into a bowl. Dip the frozen egg into it.
  3. After 30 seconds, break the shell and clean it. The shell falls off in large pieces when lightly pressed with your fingers.
  4. Under the shell the egg looks like it is boiled. Only the protein is not white, but transparent-cloudy.
  5. Now we take a wooden plank and a strong knife with a thick blade (chef’s knife). Cut the egg into 4-5 circles approximately 1 cm thick.
  6. Without waiting for the circles to defrost, heat up a greased frying pan. We set the fire to minimum.
  7. Place the chopped eggs and fry over low heat without a lid. Miniature fried eggs are ready.
  8. Serve breakfast: toast, lettuce, and scrambled eggs on top.

The original suggests frying pieces of baguette in a dry frying pan and sprinkling the sandwiches with sesame seeds.I do it a little differently: I put a lettuce leaf, a mini fried egg, a slice of tomato on the toast and sprinkle everything with chopped green onions. It turns out to be a very tasty and appetizing breakfast.

Fried egg in bread

The correct name for this dish is Birmingham-style scrambled eggs. Many people have probably tried frying an egg in bread. So, doing this with a whole egg is problematic: it spreads and crawls out of the edges of the bread. Another thing is frozen circles. The fried egg fills exactly the middle. Breakfast turns out just like in the picture.

Recipe:

  1. In the evening we put the egg in the freezer.
  2. In the morning we prepare breakfast. First, cut the sandwich bread into thick slices.
  3. We cut a hole in the middle of each piece using a mold or a stack.
  4. Take out the egg, heat it in hot water for a couple of seconds and remove the shell.
  5. Cut into circles 1 cm thick.
  6. Heat the frying pan and grease it with oil.
  7. Fry the bread on one side. Turn it over.
  8. Place an egg circle in the middle. Bring to readiness over low heat.

Mini fried eggs can be fried not only in bread, but also in sweet pepper rings. If you take multi-colored ones, you will get a bright, beautiful and tasty summer breakfast.

I prepare it like this:

  1. I wash the bell pepper and remove the seeds.
  2. Cut into rings 2 cm thick.
  3. I cut frozen eggs into circles.
  4. In a heated frying pan, lightly fry the pepper.
  5. I put 1-3 egg mugs in each ring (depending on the size).
  6. Salt and pepper.
  7. I bring it to readiness over low heat.

The next dish is my favorite. It is incredibly tasty and looks impressive. The frozen yolk resembles an avocado seed.

Cooking in the oven:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Carefully cut the avocado lengthwise. Let's reveal. We take out the bone.
  3. We clean the frozen egg and also divide it into 2 halves.
  4. Place in avocado halves. Salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Place in the oven for 5 minutes.
  6. We take out and decorate with finely chopped sweet pepper and green onions.

Don't throw away the shells!

Frozen egg shells can be used to sharpen blender blades.

To do this, collect them in a small 0.5 liter container and put them in the freezer overnight. In the morning, fill the blender bowl and grind the shells. You need to freeze it to increase its hardness.

After grinding, the powder can be used as a fertilizer for indoor plants, or added to coffee to eliminate acid and bitterness. Or you can pour lemon juice over it and put it in the refrigerator. In a week you will get easily digestible calcium citrate - a food supplement for strengthening teeth, nails and bones.

Finally, I would like to note that freezing raw eggs “just in case” and “so that they don’t disappear” is wrong. I made this mistake once - I used an egg a week after putting it in the freezer. During this time, it became grainy, and the fried egg turned out tasteless. Fresh and frozen 5-10 hours before breakfast is a must for these recipes.
