Not unfounded: experts have found out which powder is better - Ariel, Persil or Tide
What should you choose, and most importantly, what should you consider when choosing a powder? We will conduct a study in which the three most popular brands will take part - Ariel, Persil and Tide.
Safety
This is the main criterion for evaluating all household chemicals. Despite the fact that washing powder is considered relatively safe, it can still cause attacks of bronchial asthma, cause allergies and dermatitis. Moreover, such a reaction can be caused by any of its components, and it is almost impossible to predict it. People who are prone to these diseases should choose phosphate-free powders of organic origin with natural fragrances, or even without them. Unfortunately, none of the listed brands offers such products to customers.
For other consumers, Ariel, Persil, and Tide will be fairly safe if the rules are followed. The powder should not be inhaled (that is, you should not sniff the open package), nor should it be used to wash food, body or dishes. It is important to limit children's access to laundry detergents.
One way to determine how harmful a particular laundry detergent is is to measure the amount of anionic and nonionic surfactants that remain in the water after washing clothes and rinsing them three times.The results of examinations carried out in 2015 by the Testing Laboratory Center of the Federal Budgetary Institution of Health "Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in Moscow" commissioned by the online publication "Roskontrol" were as follows:
- Ariel "Mountain Spring" became the worst among all tested samples, since the water contained 568 mg/l of anionic surfactants (the most dangerous to humans). Experts note that when using this powder, repeated rinsing should be used.
- Persil Expert can be called one of the best - the surfactant content in the water turned out to be minimal.
- Tide "White Clouds" is also not bad, its performance corresponds to average values.
By the way, on the packaging of all three samples there is a designation “suitable for washing children’s and adult clothes.” This needs to be emphasized, since according to the results of the same examinations, powders with a norm of 70–120% received the following toxicity levels:
- "Ariel" — 33%;
- "Persil" — 48%;
- "Tide" — 52%.
The lower the percentage, the more toxic the laundry detergent, and Ariel was the worst again this time. However, all three powders failed this test - despite the manufacturers’ assurances, it is not recommended to use them for washing children’s clothes.
Efficiency
The effectiveness of washing powder is a somewhat ephemeral category, since it depends on many factors that are difficult to control in everyday conditions. For example, the temperature, hardness and volume of water, the duration of washing, the degree of contamination of items and the properties of the fabric from which these items are sewn, the amount of powder, and the mechanical impact of the washing machine are all important. Therefore, if you wash with powder at home, its effectiveness will be different each time - and this is not the manufacturer’s fault.
In laboratory tests, samples of standard contaminants produced in Switzerland and Germany are used, as well as washing machines equipped with special measuring equipment.
When testing the effectiveness of Ariel, Persil and Tide powders, the following results were obtained:
Pollution | "Ariel" | "Persil" | "Tide" |
---|---|---|---|
Coffee | 0 | + | + |
Red wine | ++ | +++ | + |
Chocolate | - | +++ | - |
Meat dish with soy sauce | - | + | 0 |
Fresh herbs | ++ | +++ | + |
Cherry | 0 | + | - |
Long lasting lipstick | - | + | 0 |
Explanation of values from the table:
“0”—the powder did not remove the dirt;
“-” - the result is little noticeable;
“+” — the result is unsatisfactory;
“++” - the dirt has been washed off quite well;
“+++” - not a trace of contamination remains.
Foaming
This criterion is important for two reasons:
- The quality of the wash depends on the amount of foam, since its bubbles push the smallest particles of dirt out of the fabric onto the surface.
- Excess foam has a bad effect on the performance of the washing machine. Moreover, if foam leaks through the smallest cracks and gets to where the electronic “stuffing” of the device is located, the machine may be permanently damaged.
More defoamer is added to powders intended for machine washing, but, unfortunately, not all manufacturers carefully monitor compliance with the technological process. Here's what the examination showed:
- Ariel when used in the dosage recommended by the manufacturer, it produced so much foam that it came out through the hole for the powder container.
- Persil distinguished itself by average foam formation indicators - there was a lot of foam, but its amount did not exceed the norm.
- Tide It also foamed well, but the amount of foam remained within the prescribed range.
Thus, it turns out that among the three mentioned powders, it is worth giving preference to Persil - it has good performance in all criteria. Tide is also suitable for washing clothes without visible dirt, but Ariel is much inferior to its competitors and can hardly be recommended for purchase.
All these powders stink! My children are allergic to them. I use ecco powders!
Olga, which ones exactly? I'd like to try it too
Thank you!
I’ll tell you a terrible secret - at the plant in Novomoskovsk, all the powder is poured into the packaging that is in the warehouse... today we have Tide packaging - that means there will be Tide... tomorrow there will be Ariel. They pour the same powder...
This is a lie. They all have a different smell.
People speak the truth from one boiler
I like Persil powder better, it cleans well
Tide and Ariel are the same producer. Procter. Also from the same opera Myth and Dosya. There is no point in overpaying. The same dick, but only from the side
It feels like the article was commissioned to advertise Persil powder. Well, I’ve definitely never encountered Persil washing better than Ariel..
I think so too
100 %
I completely agree with you
I completely agree. Tide doesn't wash at all. Money transfer. Everything in Ariel’s table that supposedly doesn’t wash or doesn’t wash well falls off with a bang. Interesting about the foam too. The foam never came out. And I don’t regret the powder. Custom article. By the way, if you compare Myth and Dosya, Myth at least erases......
Persil is several times better. Especially German made
The best BiMax powder one hundred stains.
I just wanted to write about BiMax powder, it washes really well, Persil is not bad either, but I never buy Ariel. And the composition of the powders is different, take a closer look at the granules, all powders have different compositions, even the color of the additives. And then one wrote that everything was picked up from one cauldron, and in everything we are like a herd
Persil stinks a lot. When drying in the room after washing "Ariel Mountain Spring Liquid" there is no smell.
Ariel whitens the best, I’ve been using it for 20 years and have no plans to change. They just decided to advertise Persil.
?
I conducted an experiment and bought all three detergents. Each proshok differed in content - color and smell. The quality of washing was definitely excellent, and there are no stains and fabrics with light color shades are tight.
Styra. Ariel or Tide. Persil is crap. This is an advertisement for Persil.
Perfect Sarma Powder
Ideal ceiling Sarma.Like soap
Elena, yes! I agree one hundred percent!!! And not only powder, but also cleaning products
Only Bimax
everyone has long switched to capsules, powder, unless in the villages they wash it the old fashioned way
How long has it been since you became a city person?
I didn't like the capsules at all. Takes too long to dissolve. And all the powders produced in Russia suck. I buy Asian or European ones.
forgot about the powders. We wash only with three-in-one capsules.
The capsules have a very, very, strong smell. It is impossible to be in the same room with laundry washed using capsules.
Korean, Japanese and in rare cases Turkish. I wash my work clothes with Persil.
that wine, that beer, even cognac, if only the aroma is slightly different, so are the pistons from the same barrel
I never buy any of these powders. Why spend that kind of money if the washing results are the same when buying cheap and expensive powders? I've been taking Myth for many years, it's quite normal. And what do we really need to wash off - sweat stains and the smell. So why overpay?
You wrote such nonsense and think one-sidedly
And the most important! Testing was carried out in an independent laboratory owned by the company KHIMPERSILRAZRABOTKA.
I have been using Ariel mountain spring for more than 10 years, there is no better powder.
Who did the “research?”
Ariel capsules are very odorous. It is impossible to rinse.
Ariel, definitely only him!
And I like Bos+ and Sarma.
All my life I wash with liquid Ariel
I am asmatic, but I have never suffocated from the powder. It washes everything off. I like
During the work of the Armenian radio, they asked the question why three-star cognac tastes better than five-star cognac, they answered: we ourselves don’t know, we pour it from the same barrel. Apparently the same situation applies to powders.
Persil is really the most normal of these, but only sensitive, it is practically odorless and washes perfectly. And Tide and Ariel are not only f... stinking, but they also leave a terrible residue in the car.
I'm also for it 100%
Persil is the best
I use Ariel and Persil regularly and am satisfied
Persil ?✌
I have a regular Indesit machine, I use both. And everything always washes well, maybe it’s the machine, of course)
It's not about the powder! My whirlpool in steam mode doesn’t need any powder at all, and it freshens clothes just fine
Tested Ariel Persil and Tide (gels)
Persil washes best with underarms)
I like Persil the most. And here he was also recognized as the best. Nice)
