Disadvantages of using it in cleaning

Frankly, Castile soap also has many disadvantages. If you decide to use it to clean your apartment, you should consider them:

  • Price. Real Castile soap costs about 250 rubles per 100 gram bar. Other types of detergents will be much cheaper.
  • Low foaming. The product does not produce the usual foam. The soap solution is more slippery than foamy. However, this does not affect its cleansing properties in any way.
  • Does not tolerate moisture. The bars themselves are quite soft, and when wet they easily turn into mush, inconvenient to use.
  • Specific smell. Not everyone likes the oily aroma. And although the smell is not very strong and is often clogged with essential oils, for many it becomes an obstacle to using Castile soap for cleaning.

It must be said that when used correctly, the negative qualities of the product are leveled out. First, soap is diluted with water and other ingredients to create an effective and inexpensive cleaning product. Secondly, hard bars are stored in a dry place or in a soap dish with holes for water drainage. And it’s quite easy to get used to the smell and lack of soap. All the disadvantages seem insignificant when the health of your loved ones is at stake.
