How to fold and conveniently store bags at home

Some people prefer to store packages by folding them into one. At the same time, it is not very convenient to take them out and put them back, because they wrinkle, cling to each other, forming a solid plastic lump. On the other hand, you can’t even think of throwing them away, because you can use them more than once.

Empty containers for storing packages

Empty containers suitable for storing packages can probably be found in your closet or kitchen at home:

  • round cardboard boxes (you can use cognac or wine tubes);
  • plastic bottles from 2 to 5 l;
  • plastic jars with screw-on or tight-fitting lids;
  • small cardboard boxes for socks or scarves, or boxes for summer shoes.

This container is ideal for conversion into compact, capacious and mobile storage spaces.

How to sort packages?

Now you need to sort the bags by density and type in order to assign each type its own convenient storage container.

You can sort like this:

  • cellophane without handles,
  • "T-shirts"
  • dense plastic,
  • large plastic ones.

The final stage is the preparation of organizers. You don’t need any special equipment for this: just a stationery knife, scissors and a pair of stationery or pharmaceutical erasers. Both the idea itself and its implementation are absolutely free and completely solve the problem with plastic deposits in kitchen drawers.

Organizer box for bags without handles

At a height of 6-7 cm from the bottom, a not very large hole is cut in the box. Fill the box with cellophane bags rolled into bagels through the top lid, covering the cut hole with your palm, and close the lid. The organizer is ready.

It is convenient to pull out plastic bags through the cut hole. Even if an extra one comes out, you can simply push it back in.

Checked: twisted bags do not fall out of the hole.

Organizer bottle

The organizer is simple to make:

  1. You need to cut off the top of the bottle.
  2. Roll up thick plastic bags with handles one at a time.
  3. Place them vertically in the bottle.

The organizer is ready. You can glue a “collar” of any fabric on top with a tightening rope drawstring so that the contents do not fall out of the bottle when lying down.

Tested: rolled rolls are easy to take out and put back into the organizer; they do not wrinkle.

Organizer jar for “T-shirts” and more

Another simple organizer for medium-sized bags can be done like this:

  1. A hole the size of a 1 ruble coin is cut in the lid of the jar and sanded around the edge.
  2. All “T-shirts” are folded vertically to a width that will be 2-3 cm less than the height of the can.
  3. The handles of the first bag are bent at an angle and the resulting ribbon is tightly twisted around them into a “sausage”. Do not wrap completely, leaving 8–9 cm.
  4. Place the next folded “T-shirt” on top, without bending the handles, and continue folding until the roll enters the jar.
  5. It turns out to be a roll with a tail from the handles of the very first package. This roll needs to be tightened with rubber bands at the top and bottom and placed in the jar with the handles up, pull them through the hole in the lid and close it.Now, if you pull the handles, the package will freely come out of the jar, and the edge of the next one will appear from the hole.

Tested: this way you can store T-shirts, cellophane and small thick bags.

Organizer box for large packages

You need to roll the bags into a rectangle and insert them into the box, like cardboard folders in a filing cabinet - this will make it easier to take them out and put them back when folded.

Batch organizers are ready. They can be stored in a kitchen furniture drawer, in the hallway on a shelf, and in any other convenient storage place.

    I made several organizers for different packages from boxes. Much more convenient than when all packages are stored together in one package.
