How to grease a baking sheet before baking? The dough won't stick anymore

A problem familiar to many housewives: the cake does not come off the baking sheet, the bottom is burnt, and dark burnt marks remain on the dishes that cannot be cleaned off with anything. To avoid these troubles, it is enough to properly grease the baking sheet before baking. If oil is not your thing, try alternative methods.

Do I need to lubricate?

Whether or not to lubricate the mold depends on the material from which it is made. It is known that silicone muffin makers only need to be oiled once - before the first use. Subsequently, the dough separates perfectly from the walls and bottom without additional lubrication.

Glass and metal pans need to be greased every time, including non-stick pans. If you don't have butter, use alternative methods, such as baking paper.

What kind of oil to grease the mold with?

It is better to use odorless vegetable oil - refined. The aroma of sunflower or olives can ruin the taste of the dough.

The most popular oil is sunflower oil, some housewives are experimenting with sesame and flaxseed oil.

To get a golden brown crust for the pies, use butter. Melt or soften it first. Butter also adds aroma and pleasant taste.

An inexpensive alternative to butter is margarine. It has no taste or smell, but also does a good job of protecting the dough, although some housewives still experience burning.

To spread, use a silicone culinary brush or grease the mold with your hands while wearing protective gloves. Be sure to cover the sides if the baked goods rise in the oven.

Other ways to protect baked goods

Parchment paper is an oiled mat that will allow you to easily separate the dough from the bottom and sides. The advantage of parchment is that it keeps the shape relatively clean. You don’t have to soak and scrub off burnt areas, or wash dishes several times in an effort to get rid of oiliness.

The paper not only helps protect the dishes, but also prevents excess fat from being absorbed into the pie dough during baking.

Advice from purity-en.htgetrid.com magazine
Not every parchment is oiled, look for information on the packaging!

To prevent the hassle of washing the mold, line it with regular food foil. This material, unlike baking paper, tends to stick to the dough, so additional lubrication with oil is required.

A modern alternative is Teflon sheet. It works like a mold made of similar material: just place it on a baking sheet and feel free to place the dough.

Sometimes oil is not enough. In this case, housewives use flour: sprinkle it on an oiled sheet, and the dough will stick to it, and not to the bottom. This technique is very helpful when baking pizza, which has a rather thin and brittle dough.

Advice
Don't be afraid to add flour; it won't affect the consistency of the finished dough.

Semolina and fine breadcrumbs are also used for sprinkling. Another trick for chocolate cake: dust the buttered bottom with cocoa powder and fine sugar. This will give you a delicious and sweet bottom crust.

Do not forget also about the baking time and temperature specified in the recipe for a particular dish.

Simple tricks will help you easily remove pizza or other baked goods from the baking sheet and enjoy a delicious dish.

Baking choux pastries. I only use margarine, as my mother taught me

  2. Lyudmila

grease the mold with vegetable oil, and then sprinkle with semolina - shake off excess

You can’t grease a sheet (baking tray) with sunflower oil; the oil burns on it and can’t be removed later, but this doesn’t happen with butter.

    Frozen lard

Grandma taught me lard, pork fat, correctly.

forgot about silicone molds and mats. They don't need lubrication at all.

For many years I have been using a non-stick mixture, whipped from lard, vegetable oil and flour 1 * 1 * 1 by volume

  8. Victor

Grandma wiped the baking sheet with a piece of unsalted lard before baking.

    Sisters!
While the baking sheet is hot, coat it with wax.It is enough to cross a piece of wax in the middle, and then rub it with a cotton swab. Nothing will stick, even if it burns.
When you remove from the oven, grease immediately next time. Wax has no taste or smell.
