8 things that don't make sense to keep at home if you want comfort

Unnecessary things in boxes
Throughout life, everyone accumulates a huge amount of not only knowledge, but also things that make no sense to keep at home. A significant part of them is junk that needs to be disposed of. These things no longer bring joyful emotions and clutter up the space, as a result:

  • the apartment looks untidy even after a thorough cleaning;
  • after just a few hours the result of cleaning is not visible, and in general the process of putting things in order becomes much more complicated;
  • It is morally harder for all family members to be in an apartment, their mood deteriorates, and they have no desire to return home.

To make your apartment cleaner, have more free space and make it pleasant to be in any room, you need to sort out only eight categories of things.

Old cosmetics

Old cosmetics

Sort all your cosmetics into two parts:

  • Place all the tubes that you haven’t used for a long time in one pile and immediately throw them in the trash.
  • Sort the remaining cosmetics according to their expiration dates and throw away all old ones.

Some products are used up slowly - even if you use them regularly, they may expire. Using such cosmetics instead of benefits can, for example, cause allergies.

Unnecessary clothes

Worn or unwanted clothing

Any woman is familiar with the situation when there is nothing to wear, while the closet seems to be bursting with things.

Review all your clothes and ask yourself a number of questions:

  • When was the item last worn? If a year has passed since its last publication, feel free to throw it away.
  • Will the dresses that were purchased for a “special” moment last for that special moment?
  • Are you wearing the item as intended? Sometimes favorite items in the "going out" category get worn out and end up in the home wardrobe department.

If an item of clothing fits at least one of the points, then it’s time to throw it away. Only things that bring joy and go well together should remain in your wardrobe.

Old plates

Broken or old dishes

Any housewife is sensitive to kitchen utensils, because she spends so much time in the kitchen. But from time to time you need to take a fresh look at your possessions.

Review all the dishes and throw away everything that is no longer of practical value:

  • plates and mugs with chips;
  • broken, outdated items (for example, lids without a handle, non-stick cookware that is already damaged);
  • dishes that you inherited but have never been used.

Grandma's set may carry certain memories and warm feelings - an exception can be made for it. However, there is no need to store all your old dishes.

Old drugs

A first aid kit should be in any home, but storing medications must be taken seriously. All medications have an expiration date; using expired medications can be hazardous to health.

When putting things in order, you need to remember 3 rules:

  1. Medicines that have expired should be thrown away immediately.
  2. If a tube of gel or a bottle of drops is open, check the instructions for how long the product can be stored after opening the package.Some drugs deteriorate within just a month after they are started to be used.
  3. The name of the tablets should be visible on the packaging, otherwise in a hurry someone might mistake heart tablets for, for example, aspirin.

These simple steps will help free up space - you will see which necessary medications are time to replenish, and protect yourself and your family.

Broken children's toys

Toys

Toys take up a lot of space, but if you look closely, most of them are of no interest to the child.

Disassemble all the toys:

  • broken ones should be immediately thrown into the trash bin;
  • toys that the child has outgrown can be given away or sold;
  • divide the remaining into several sets.

It is necessary that each set contains a variety of toys. This means that you don’t need to make a set of only dolls or cars. The set should include a doll, a car, a soft toy, and a construction set. We leave one set, hide the rest, and after a week or two we change the set to another.

A large number of toys only distracts the child’s attention, as a result he does not really play with anything. If there are fewer toys, it will be easier for him to concentrate on a specific construction set or bear.

Unnecessary piece of paper

Receipts, tickets, advertising and other waste paper

Throw away receipts for all equipment that is no longer under warranty. Tickets and brochures are sometimes dear to the heart, but after a while they accumulate in large quantities. In fact, they do not carry any energy, and by throwing them away, you will not lose those wonderful memories, and the house will become cleaner.

Old newspapers and magazines that you once read or were planning to read are no longer relevant in our information age.It is much easier and faster to find information of interest on the Internet than to rummage through a stack of newspapers.

Souvenirs

For every holiday, it is customary to give cute trinkets. On New Year's Day these are pigs, dogs and other animals - symbols of the year. On February 14 - hearts, cats. On March 8th – boxes and teddy bears. All these cute things are useless, but at the same time dust accumulates on them and this makes cleaning much more difficult. Choose the sweetest and most memorable ones, no more than ten, throw away the rest.

Man holding CD disc

CD discs

The age of CD discs has passed, online stores have taken over the initiative, now all games are bought there, books and films are bought on the corresponding resources. Many modern laptops and computers no longer even have a disk drive. But the discs are still collecting dust on the shelf.

So, by freeing your home from just 8 categories of things, you will notice how it will be transformed. It will be more comfortable to be there, your loved ones will become calmer, and cleaning will go much faster.
