How to quickly and easily make a bouquet of sweets for February 14th - three options for making it yourself

A bouquet of sweets on February 14 has become a traditional gift in the “2 in 1” style - it is given instead of an armful of fresh flowers and a box of sweets. There are even design studios that specialize in creating food bouquets, although their services are not cheap. It is much more profitable to make such a composition yourself - besides, it will be another way to express feelings.

Original bouquets of sweets

A simple and versatile bouquet of sweets in a mug

Such an unusual bouquet can be presented to a loved one, regardless of his gender and age. It will take about 15 minutes to make (not counting the time spent on buying sweets and other “ingredients”).

Bouquet of sweets in a mug

Before starting work, prepare:

  • Lots of candies - large and small chocolate bars, heart-shaped lollipops, packages of dragees. You can also use other sweet treats in individual packaging - marshmallows, halva, cookies, marmalade. The composition of the bouquet depends on the preferences of the person for whom the gift is intended.
  • Beautiful valentine cards.
  • Set of plastic sticks for cake pops.
  • Glue gun and glue sticks.
  • A beautiful cup (it is important that its walls are high, otherwise the contents will fall out).
  • Silk ribbon and other decor.

Operating procedure

There is nothing complicated about making this bouquet of sweets with your own hands:

  1. Warm up the gun and attach the sticks to candies and cards. This must be done carefully, without using a lot of glue.Be careful: the sticks should be placed not on the front side, but on the back side and reach approximately the middle of the package to make the structure stable.
  2. When everything is ready, collect the bouquet. It is better to place large packages in the background, and small ones in the foreground, then the composition will look beautiful. Stick cards on sticks and other decorations between the candies.

If the mug is not filled tightly, the sticks will begin to “move” and the bouquet will immediately lose its original appearance. To avoid this, you can fill the empty space with cut paper (the same one that is placed inside the parcels).

Instead of a mug, you can use a beautiful champagne glass or a small glass vase. To prevent the lower ends of the sticks from being visible, place multi-colored balls, serpentine or organza on the bottom.

It is impossible to create such a bouquet without:

  • Ferrero sweets;
  • long wooden skewers;
  • tissue paper (in the example we used pink and blue, but you can choose the colors at your discretion);
  • tape;
  • silk ribbon;
  • scissors

Step-by-step instruction

The work on this original bouquet is so simple that even a child can handle it. But the result is impressive:

    1. Remove the candies from the packaging and place them on skewers along with the base. The skewer must go in at least 1 cm, otherwise the flower will fall apart.

Threading candy onto a skewer

    1. Cut tissue paper in your primary color (pink in this case) into squares. The length of the sides of each square depends on the desired size of the flower. It can be determined experimentally.
    2. Bend each square diagonally - as shown in the figure.

Paper square blank

    1. Take a skewer with candy in one hand, and a paper blank in the other. Wrap the paper around the candy. The protruding corners should be facing upward (these are the petals), and the fold should extend onto the skewer so much that it can then be wrapped with tape.

Making a flower from candy, skewer and decorative paper

    1. Secure the edge of the paper with tape - this will make the flower dense and strong.

Ferrero Rocher poppies

    1. Repeat all the manipulations starting from step 2, but using tissue paper of an additional color (blue).

    1. When all the flowers are ready, secure the skewers together with tape.

Bouquet of sweets on skewers

  1. Cut two very large squares and fold them in the same way as the small ones in step 3.
  2. Wrap the flowers on the skewers with prepared paper, cut a piece of ribbon and tie it on the bouquet with a bow.

Instead of tissue paper, you can use a floral mesh, and replace Ferrero candies with others in the same candy wrappers. It is not forbidden to supplement the flower arrangement with something else - a mix of fruits (grapes and strawberries strung on skewers) glued to the skewers in the form of pistachio leaves in the shell is suitable for this.

Flower and candy bouquet in a box

Bouquets in boxes have long been popular. And if you use edible flowers instead of real flowers, the composition will only benefit. After all, it will not wither in a few days, but will delight the owner (or owner - similar bouquets can be given to both women and men) for several weeks - until it is eaten.

Everything you need for such a bouquet can be bought at any craft store:

  • heart-shaped box;
  • corrugated paper of different colors and shades;
  • wire;
  • toothpicks;
  • scissors.

Of course, you can’t do without the main component - sweets. They can be different, it all depends on the artist’s idea and the taste preferences of the person who will receive the gift.

Process description

In this case, the work will take more time and require effort, but it will be worth it.

Making flowers consists of several stages:

  1. Cut out petals from corrugated paper. What they will be, oblong or round, depends on what kind of flower you want to get in the end. The main condition is to add 1.2–2 cm to the standard length of the petals. This reserve is needed for further assembly.
  2. Shape the petals by slightly stretching the paper with your fingers.
  3. Take the candy and tie it with wire to a toothpick. Place petals on top of the candy. It is advisable to avoid symmetry - this way the product will look more natural.
  4. Secure the bottom of the petals to a toothpick with wire.
  5. Repeat the work until you have created the required number of flowers.
  6. Trim the excess length from the toothpicks.
  7. Fill the box with ready-made flowers.

The bouquet will look more original if one half of the box is filled with paper flowers with a candy center, and the other with macaroons or other sweets. You can add toys to the composition - a small bear or a hare.

Beautiful and delicious bouquets are the best option for a gift for Valentine's Day. But you don't have to follow the instructions given. Feel free to experiment, add something of your own, and then you will have a real masterpiece.
