stationery knife;
flexible wire;
awl;
pliers;
rubber bands for money – 5–10 pcs.;
old cartridge.

Sintepon instead of a filter is used quite often. The material consists of the finest hairs intertwined with each other. They collect suspended matter, debris and dirt, and do not retain liquid. Sintepon is also called synthetic wool. It is easy to wash, does not rot, and practically does not come off.

How to make a filter with your own hands:

Cut off the old filter paper with a utility knife.
What remains is a plastic mesh sleeve and 2 silicone rings.
We attach the rings to the sleeve with flexible wire. We punch holes with an awl, insert the wire and bend around the mesh of the sleeve. Punch a hole again and make a stitch. We tighten the wire with pliers.
We wind a piece of padding polyester around the resulting skeleton of the cartridge. Secure with rubber bands.
