2. lay the sheet and second pillowcase in the same way;

Japanese woman Marie Kondo has developed her own way of folding and storing laundry. Apartments in Japan, like furniture, do not have a lot of free space, which sets strict conditions for organizing the storage of linen.

In the form of a roll

For vertical storage in deep drawers, deep shelves, etc., the roll storage method is used. This method is good because all sets become available for review, and when removing one of them, the storage structure is not disturbed.

1. The duvet cover is folded lengthwise to form a narrow strip.
2. Fold the sheet in the same way and place it on top of the duvet cover.
3. If desired, one or both pillowcases can be placed.
4. The set is rolled into a tight roll and folded into a loose pillowcase or beautifully tied with a ribbon.

Properly storing bed linen means not only putting it neatly in a closet or chest of drawers, but also taking into account a number of related factors.

• If possible, it is better to store laundry not just on shelves, but using baskets and drawers.
• Vacuum bags for long-term storage protect against dust, pests and fading.
• You should not store laundry in plastic bags (even if this is the packaging in which the set was sold) - it can become damp and acquire an unpleasant musty smell.
• You can put leftover solid soap, citrus peels, and aromatic sachets on a shelf or in a storage box to add scent and repel moths and other insects.
• Only completely dry items are placed in the closet.
• It is advisable to have at least 3 sets of bed linen for each bed.
• It is recommended to store laundry inside out.

Each housewife chooses the method of folding and storing bed linen that is convenient for her. None of the proposed options can be considered a reference, since each was designed for a certain number of items and furniture dimensions.
