It is also worth preparing the following in advance:

• compass and ruler for drawing straight lines;
• PVA glue, with its help parts are glued together;

• cut out two circles from cardboard, the diameter of each should be 16 cm;
• cut two strips 51 cm long and wide: the first is 14 cm, the second is 10 cm;
• fold the strips into cylinders and fix them with glue;
• We cut out two strips of plain paper of the same size and apply glue over the entire surface;
• using them we connect the cylinder and the circle, and do the same with the second;
• let it dry, decorate and can be used for its intended purpose.

The smaller part serves as a lid; you can additionally attach a handle to it for ease of opening.

As you can see, there is nothing complicated in manufacturing. But you can be sure that no one else will have such an original box.

Square option

You can make a square shaped cardboard box. To do this you need to follow the instructions:

• cut out a square from the prepared cardboard, its size should be 20x20;
• inside, draw two vertical and horizontal lines with a distance of 5 cm from the edges, as a result a new square should form in the center;
• using scissors or a ruler, make peculiar grooves on the marked lines, not cutting, but ironing them;
• bend the product along these recesses;
• cut short lines;
• bend the parts and glue them, assembling a square box;
• cut another square, this time 16x16;
• on the new figure, draw two lines in the horizontal and vertical directions with an indentation of 3 cm;
• Carefully cut into vertical strips, make folds and glue according to the same pattern as the previous time.

All that remains is to put the lid on the box and decorate the product in any way. The festive gift wrapping is ready.

Convertible product

You can make your own or make a simple box for storing small items. It can be any size. The process itself is easy and fast, so even a child can cope with the task.

The instructions are as follows:

• on a cardboard sheet, draw two lines with a pencil, do this on the narrow side, leave a 5 cm indentation from the edges;
• then fold the product along the drawn lines;
• then fold each side in half again to the fold line of the edges, as a result, two folds should form in the center; for convenience, we also outline them with a pencil;
• now we draw lines on the long sides of the cardboard, leaving the same distance from the edge;
• make cuts with scissors along the lines along the edges;
• All that remains is to fold the box and glue it.

At this point, the packaging with a lid for gifting or storing things is ready.It can be covered with colored paper or painted with colored paints; you can show your imagination in decorating.

Cot

Another option on how to make a cardboard box, this time you don’t even need glue. The assembly itself resembles origami; all you need is sheets of cardboard and scissors.

Step-by-step instruction:

• fold the square piece of paper diagonally, do it twice, first on one side, and then on the other;
• unfold and fold again, but this time horizontally;
• we wrap the corners so that we get four triangles, their tops should be exactly in the center of the square;
• in the center of the workpiece we mentally draw a vertical line, fold the right and left edges of the future box to it;
• again mentally divide the resulting rectangle into two identical parts, bend the edges located above and below to it;
• unfold the square, bend the corners inward according to the same pattern as in the upper part of the workpiece, repeat the same steps on the other side;
• The lid for the box is made according to the same plan, but it is better to use a different color of cardboard for it.

Miniature packaging can be made from thin paper sheets, such as Whatman paper. For larger products, it is worth taking thick cardboard; such boxes are convenient for storing children's toys.
